Bangladesh gives green light for shooters’ India trip

Bangladesh has approved the travel of its shooting team to India, ruling out any security concerns despite recent tensions linked to the T20 World Cup. The clearance was granted on Monday after authorities reviewed the situation ahead of scheduled international events in India.

A federation official said the assessment found “no threat whatsoever” to the athletes, stressing that preparations would continue as planned. “Sport must go on, regardless of external noise,” another official noted.

The decision follows speculation over possible travel restrictions amid the ongoing cricket-related row. A senior coach confirmed the team remains focused, saying, “Our shooters are fully prepared and concentrating only on competition.”

With the approval in place, Bangladesh’s shooters will proceed with their tour as part of their build-up to major global meets later this year.
