Defending a modest total, India turned to Bumrah in the middle and death overs, and the fast bowler responded by removing key batters and conceding barely a run a ball. His tight lines and late movement derailed Pakistan’s chase just as the match hung in the balance.
“We believed we were 15 runs short, so the plan was to attack,” Bumrah said after the win. Pakistan’s captain admitted: “He changed the game with that spell.”
