India have named Tilak Varma and Mayank Yadav in the India A squad for a warm-up match against the USA, scheduled later this week in New York, as part of preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The game is designed to give fringe players match time and assess combinations ahead of the main tournament.
Tilak returns after recovering from injury, while express pacer Mayank earns a call-up following impressive domestic performances marked by raw pace and control. A BCCI official said the match will help “fine-tune players close to national selection.”
