India Men Face Wales, Women Open vs China at FIH Hockey World Cup 2026
The FIH has unveiled the schedule for the Hockey World Cup 2026, co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands from August 15 to 30, with both Indian teams placed in Pool D at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen.
The men’s team open against Wales on August 15 at 16:30 IST, then face England on August 17, before the blockbuster clash against Pakistan on August 19 — the most anticipated fixture of their group.
The women’s team begin a day later, taking on World No. 4 China on August 16, followed by South Africa on August 18 and England on August 20.
India’s men have featured in all 15 previous World Cup editions, with their only title coming in 1975. The women qualified after finishing runners-up in the Hyderabad qualifiers and are still chasing their maiden World Cup crown.
