India secure T20 World Cup title with dominant run

India won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on March 8 after defeating New Zealand in the final, completing a commanding tournament run built on strong batting and disciplined bowling.

Sanju Samson led the batting charge with crucial runs across the competition, while Jasprit Bumrah delivered decisive spells that repeatedly halted opponents and anchored India’s unbeaten march to the trophy.

“It’s an incredible feeling to win this title,” Bumrah said. “The whole team stepped up when it mattered.”

Samson added: “We stayed confident and trusted our approach.”

New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner admitted India were superior, saying: “They were outstanding throughout the tournament.”
