Lin Chun Yi beats Lakshya Sen to win All England title

Chinese Taipei shuttler Lin Chun Yi defeated India’s Lakshya Sen in the All England Open final on March 9 in Birmingham, claiming the prestigious title after the Indian star struggled with fatigue following a demanding tournament run.

Sen fought hard despite visible exhaustion, trying to stay in the rallies and push the pace, but Lin controlled key moments and sealed the victory in straight games to lift the trophy.

“I gave everything I had on court,” Sen said after the match. “It was a tough week physically, but reaching the final means a lot.”

Champion Lin Chun Yi praised his opponent’s effort, saying: “Lakshya is an incredible fighter. I had to stay focused on every point.”

Former players also applauded Sen’s campaign, calling his run to the final “a strong statement” ahead of upcoming major tournaments.
