Pakistan face must-win clash vs Namibia

Pakistan will take on winless Namibia in a decisive T20 World Cup group match on Tuesday, needing victory to secure a place in the Super 8 stage of the tournament.

After a mixed start to their campaign, Pakistan’s qualification hopes now hinge on this final fixture, with net run rate also a potential factor. Namibia, already out of contention, are yet to register a win but could still play spoiler.

“We know what is at stake and we’re ready,” Pakistan’s captain said on the eve of the match. A Namibia coach insisted: “We want to finish with pride and challenge them.”

A tournament analyst noted that Pakistan’s experienced bowling attack could prove key, but warned that “pressure games have produced surprises before.”
