Rahane shrugs off pressure as KKR eye IPL rebound

KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane has played down pressure ahead of IPL 2026, starting March 28, after the team’s worst finish in 16 years, saying the focus is firmly on a fresh start.
Rahane remained confident despite last season’s setback. “Pressure is part of this league, you have to embrace it,” he said. He added, “We are not carrying baggage from the past.”
KKR’s poor campaign has pushed the team to reset. “The hunger in the group is very clear,” a team source noted.
Rahane believes mindset will be key to the turnaround. “If we execute well, results will follow,” he said, as KKR aim to bounce back strongly.
