RCB win WPL as Mandhana celebrates third title

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the Women’s Premier League title on Sunday, defeating Delhi Capitals in the final to seal their third major trophy in as many years. The victory, achieved at the WPL final venue in India, underlined RCB’s dominant rise across formats and extended their golden run under captain Smriti Mandhana.
RCB controlled the final with a disciplined bowling effort before chasing the target calmly, led by Mandhana’s fluent knock at the top. She finished the season with over 300 runs, setting the tone for the campaign. “This team has belief and character,” Mandhana said after the match. “Winning three titles in three years is special.”
Delhi skipper Meg Lanning admitted RCB were sharper on the day. “They executed their plans better in the final overs,” she said. Head coach Mike Hesson praised the squad depth, adding that “consistency and fearless cricket have defined this group.”
The WPL triumph adds to RCB’s recent success in men’s and women’s cricket, strengthening the franchise’s growing legacy.
