India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson has emerged as the country’s only nominee for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Player of the Tournament award after delivering consistent performances during the competition.
Samson impressed with crucial runs in key matches, anchoring India’s batting in several tight contests and keeping his team in the title race. His steady scoring and ability to accelerate in pressure moments earned him a place among the tournament’s standout performers.
“It’s always special to contribute for the team on the biggest stage,” Samson said after one of his match-winning knocks. “I just try to stay calm and play my natural game.”
