UAE beat rivals as Siddique, Aryansh star

UAE secured their first win of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on Tuesday, defeating their opponents thanks to a five-wicket haul from Junaid Siddique and a composed knock by Aryansh Sharma at the tournament venue. The victory revived their campaign and kept qualification hopes alive.
Siddique ripped through the batting line-up, finishing with five wickets and swinging momentum firmly in UAE’s favour. “I just focused on hitting the right areas and letting the pitch do the work,” Siddique said after the match. His spell restricted the opposition to a modest total that always looked chaseable.
In reply, Aryansh Sharma anchored the innings with a calm half-century, absorbing pressure before accelerating at the right moment. “We knew one partnership would seal it. I backed myself to stay till the end,” Sharma said.
The opposing captain admitted, “We lost wickets in clusters and that cost us.” UAE’s skipper praised the team effort, calling it “a complete performance when we needed it most.”
